Spring Break

I just want to say that I could definitely be a STAY AT HOME MOM! I have done nothing but be LAZY and ENJOY this time at home with Addison. (Yes, as I sit here typing, I am also looking at my living room, thinking 'dang I need to do some spring cleaning'. But Chris says don't worry with and enjoy the days off. I love my husband.) And I am loving every minute spent with my baby. Even the fussy moments with those top two teeth that are trying to come in. That's why we have Tylenol and Teething Tablets. Work like a charm.

By the way, Addison will be 9 months old tomorrow. Yep, you read it right,
9 months old! I am in shock. My child will be 1! in 3 months. Oh my gosh, I better start planning that FIRST Birthday.

Background Frustration?

Can someone explain to me the Blogger background process? The background never looks the same on my page as it did when I picked it out. It is always larger on my page, therefor you are not getting the whole picture. So, explain to me what I am doing wrong. Please!

Well, The Wiggins are gone again...

Amy, Jonathan, Nathan, Madelyn, Sarah, and Sam arrived Monday morning about 6 am. They had a pretty busy week planned out to try to see everyone. TRY! Is the key word. Anyway, we ate supper Monday evening with them. This was the FIRST time 5 of the 6 met Addison. Amy came down a few months ago for Paw's funeral and got to meet her then. So needless to say Addison is 8 1/2 months old and just now meeting her cousins. Mady and Sarah were thrilled. And Addison loved playing them. Her and Mady bonded real well. We didn't get to see them again until Friday. Papa grilled some of his famous chicken Friday and then we were suppose to eat waffles this morning but the waffle irons have mysteriously disappeared. Who knows? Anyway we ate pancakes that tasted like waffles. Pretty good! Then had to say our good-byes and send The Wiggins back to Colorado about 9:30. A Sad moment. I have to admit I left before they did just so I didn't have to watch them leave. (and be there when Papa cried)

Here are a few pictures I got during this oh so short visit...

Update...

My poor baby. Addison ran fever again last night, so we went back to the doctor today. Mrs. Brenda wanted a urine culture for further testing. Well let me just tell you from experience, I was not looking forward to that. Those little 'tt' bags they put on her DO NOT WORK! On girls at least. Anyway, here it is 7 hrs later, three bags later and still no sample. We did however get chest x-rays and blood work. And Oh My Gosh, My poor baby! I will just say that she had her first sucker today. And it helped. Then we went back to the doctors office and after looking at her lab work and x-ray they decided to give her a SHOT, a Rocephin shot at that, without the lidocaine. She SCREAMED for 40 minutes! The sucker would not work for this experience. I felt helpless. She could not crawl anymore up in my arms. It was awful. She napped for 2 hrs and seems to be fine now. She has already removed her band aid.
Side note...An hour before her apt she had about 100.5 fever and Chris suggested not giving her anything so that when she gets to the Dr she would have fever. Well this theory did not work. Her fever dropped down to 98 without drugs!

8 months old...

Well, we went to the doctor this morning and of course the minute we walked in the door she is amazingly ALL BETTER. UGH!!! Anyway I am glad her ears and throat checked out fine but WHY ARE WE RUNNING FEVER? And not just a low grade fever to go along with these teeth, it was 102.7 this morning. But not at the doctor, it was only 99.2. Yeah...but what's wrong? And now that we are back home the fever is back! And she is fussy again...UGH!

Anyway, we are 8 months old today
Weight 19 lbs. 2 oz.
Height 27 inches
