Update...

My poor baby. Addison ran fever again last night, so we went back to the doctor today. Mrs. Brenda wanted a urine culture for further testing. Well let me just tell you from experience, I was not looking forward to that. Those little 'tt' bags they put on her DO NOT WORK! On girls at least. Anyway, here it is 7 hrs later, three bags later and still no sample. We did however get chest x-rays and blood work. And Oh My Gosh, My poor baby! I will just say that she had her first sucker today. And it helped. Then we went back to the doctors office and after looking at her lab work and x-ray they decided to give her a SHOT, a Rocephin shot at that, without the lidocaine. She SCREAMED for 40 minutes! The sucker would not work for this experience. I felt helpless. She could not crawl anymore up in my arms. It was awful. She napped for 2 hrs and seems to be fine now. She has already removed her band aid.
Side note...An hour before her apt she had about 100.5 fever and Chris suggested not giving her anything so that when she gets to the Dr she would have fever. Well this theory did not work. Her fever dropped down to 98 without drugs!

8 months old...

Well, we went to the doctor this morning and of course the minute we walked in the door she is amazingly ALL BETTER. UGH!!! Anyway I am glad her ears and throat checked out fine but WHY ARE WE RUNNING FEVER? And not just a low grade fever to go along with these teeth, it was 102.7 this morning. But not at the doctor, it was only 99.2. Yeah...but what's wrong? And now that we are back home the fever is back! And she is fussy again...UGH!

Anyway, we are 8 months old today
Weight 19 lbs. 2 oz.
Height 27 inches

Random Updates

This blog will be very random to update the past month...
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!

This was not the best picture but the only one of the day

By the way we discovered our first tooth today!!! YEAH! It's on the bottom and has broken through already.

OUR SNOW DAY!!!

This was our neighbors snowman, I loved this picture because you could see the snow falling against the fence.

THE ROBISON'S

The Tuesday before Sammy and Tiera left, they invited us and the Tomlinsons over for supper. It was a sad but enjoyable evening. We have developed a close relationship with this couple and I was sad to see them go. We miss yall!

OUR BED!

She loves playing in her bed! And that is where she learned to pull-up!!!

A NEW HOBBY!!!

She loves playing or I should say digging in her bags. She unloads them if they are in her reach. Which everything is in her reach these days because she is now SCOOTING! Yep, she gets on all 4's and rocks. She is now actually moving forward. Just a few minutes ago I had to put the computer down and grab her and Chris said 'Oh no this house is not even child proofed'. Well looks like I am going to be doing some 'childproofing' on my days off.

Super Bowl Sunday 2010

Just like every other year, my family gathers at my mom's house for our annual Super Bowl Party. We have a great time eating, visiting, and oh yeah watching the game and commercials of course. Well this year was beyond special...Our Saints were in the Super Bowl. It still seems so surreal to be saying that. I mean this team that we have supported throughout the years in losses and very few wins have made it. They actually made it to the end. And WON!!!!! They had an incredible season and finished it off with a bang. Poor Colts! But HOORAY for the SAINTS!!!!! Anyway here are a few shots of my family enjoying the game and each other....

IT'S GAME TIME!!!

MawMaw and Addison

MeMe, Addison & MawMaw

Addison and MawMaw on Saturday right after surgery

Addison and MawMaw on Sunday

(She was doing much better)

*I would like for you to take time to pray for MawMaw, she is battling a terrible disease of the mind. Alzheimer's. She needs your prayer for the next few weeks at least, during this hospital stay and therapy. She doesn't remember falling and doesn't understand why she can't just go back to her room @ HomeStyle. Please Pray! Thank You!

Wishes do come true...

Well sort of. Addi and I went to Arkansas with MeMe this weekend to visit MawMaw (Mrs. Linda's mom). MawMaw lives in a nursing home/ assited living home called Homestyle. She fell Thursday evening and broke her hip so she had to have surgery. Mrs. Linda asked Addison and I to go with her and after much thought we decided to venture off. This was Addisons first trip and first time to stay away from home. The drive itself is 6 1/2 hours, but with a baby an two woman who have to make frequent bathroom breaks, it takes a little longer. We left Lake Providence Friday @ 3 and arrived @ The Hampton Inn @ 11:30. Addison did GREAT! MawMaw had surgery Saturday morning and it went great. We got to see all of MeMe's family, which was wonderful and way past due. We got up Sunday morning to visit MawMaw again and took off about 1:15 and got home about 9:30. Yeah, needless to say I AM EXHAUSTED!!!

Anyway back to the snow wishes...When we got to Springdale there was snow on the ground. YEAH! And Saturday it snowed almost all day. So I bundled up my baby and ploped her down in the middle of a pile of snow and snapped a few shots of her first snow.

Still wishing for snow...

I loved these pictures. She looked so big and thought she was when I put her in the rocker. And the pjs are adorable. We are still wishing for snow too build that snowman. Just wanted to share...

Cardboard?!?

Everyone knows that when a child opens a gift its the cardboard box (or the paper) that they love the most. Just give the child cardboard and they can have the most fun. Well who would have thought a 6 month old would get so excited over a paper towel roll.
