Just a few overdue/random pictures

One Sunday afternoon at Granny's

This was our Fall Festival outfit. How cute can a flower be!?!

Our after the party and much more comfortable outfit.

November 3rd, Addi's first hospital visit. She was so pitiful. I hurt just looking at her.
Picking out our first Christmas tree. This was important to me. I have always been a real tree gal and this year I wanted to go as a family to pick/cut down our tree. Well this was the closes I got to doing that. Thanks to The Corner Market I did get a real tree though. I hope to start a tradition that I enjoyed as a little girl with my family.

The Boyett's. Chris, Amy and Joshua. This was taken December 8th.

Last night was the first night in a long time that my husband has been home before Addi and I have gone to bed. He put her to sleep and chose to let her sleep on his stomach while he 'watched' the football game.
EXHAUSTION set in!!!
FYI...He has not been home much because we have opened up a new business in town. Providence Cabinets & Woodworks, located next door to Jehovah Java, the old Aaron's building. This has been a dream of his for a very long time and we/he decided to leap out there and do it. We took advantage of the opportunity and put full faith and trust in God. Providence means 'God's hand will provide' and that's why he chose the name. He still works for Frank Foster Construction and just comes home in the afternoon to this job. I ask for your prayers for our family during the beginning of this journey.
And if you are looking for a new set of kitchen cabinets or whatever it might be, think of us and give us a call. Thank You!

How cute are we!?!

I just wanted to share the past two Sunday dresses...
Thanks to Mary Grace's closet

Addi and her Papa
He loves to get her for praise and worship service.
I think it helps him relax his mind before preaching.

Merry Merry Blessed Christmas!!!!

Christmas!!!!!

A very good friend of our family just dropped off Christmas presents for our family. Well I just had to dig in, let's just say I am ready for Christmas. This was Addisons first present to 'open'. I really did not think she would enjoy or get into it this year, I just thought she was too young. But was I wrong. I put the gift in front of her and she tried her hardest to tear into it. Thirty minutes later she is still eating the paper.

Thank You Carey! I can't wait to read this Storybook to her.

*******************************************************************************

Last night I put her by Nana's tree and all the gifts and oh my she just could not get her hands off all the gifts. Audree was getting upset with Addison because she was trying to 'open' what Audree thought was her present. (It really was Addisons)

It did not matter where I moved this present, she was determined to sit/jump on it. We had to retape it before returning it under the tree.

I am ready to our FIRST CHRISTMAS!!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Under Construction

Okay so bare with me. The blog is currently under construction. I started this project but as usual was unable to finish it and the internet decided to freeze up on me, of course. I am currently trying to change the look of the blog and learn some new things. So be patient. Thanks ~ Kelly

She's growing up too fast...

A few highlights of this week...

* She is rolling over from tummy to back and back to tummy! And loves doing it, I think she knows it makes her mommy happy.
* She tries real hard to hold her own bottle. The little ones she can just about hold it the whole feeding.
* She has found her feet and LOVES them. When she gets a hold of them she just giggles.
* She's trying to sit up. Anytime I put her in her bouncer, carseat or laying against me, she trys to 'sit up'.
* She loves to watch people.
* She was sick with something called stridor, her vocal box was swollen so she was hoarse. She's all better now.
* She weighed 14 lbs and 11 ounces Thursday at the doctor. Although she had just finished her bottle in the waiting room. For those of you that read the last blog, Yes thats a gain of 11 ounces in a week.

Heres a video of rolling over back to tummy, a little sidenote that I thought was hilarious...she tooted as she was trying to get that final push over.

Audree and Nana came over Saturday night for supper and let me just say Audree loved her some chicken alfredo. And that her Aunt Kelly let her be a big girl and sit at the table with us in her own chair and use her own fork to feed herself. FYI Don't take the fork from her.

Addison and her two Papa's

I thought this one was two cute not to share,

Nana got a better one she's gonna share later. (they were kissing)

Audree giving Addison 'sugars'

Hey! Where'd she go?

Another sidenote, Audree likes Addisons toys.

We Did It!!!

Saturday morning Addison and I were playing on a pallet in the living room. I was giving her some good ol' tummy time when she decided she needed a toy that was not in her reach. She could only see it, so she went for it. And rolled right over to her back. I got so excited for her but she looked at me like I was crazy and then just smiled. So I got the camera out to see if she would perform again and she did. Addison is rolling over, both ways!!!

Here's a little video of her achievement...

She rolls to the left and then ......................
she rolls to the right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here are a few pictures I finally took off my camera...

This outfit was too cute not to share...

She looked adorable in it.

I pick on her about her mowhawk she growing :)

And just look at those cheeks!

My 'BIG' Girl

I took Addison to the doctor today because she has a 'snotty' nose and a small cough. I noticed the stuffy nose Tuesday evening and early Wednesday morning she was having trouble breathing so it was waking her up. So we went to see Dr. Perkins this morning. The RSV test came back negative which I was thankful for, so we think its just a cold. So, I continue to use the saline drops and a decongestant drop.

So, now to the good stuff. At the doctors office they put her on her belly to check her lungs and my baby girl ALMOST rolled over. I got so excited because she was so close. I came home and told Chris what happened and he said well yeah I have been showing her how this week. He has been home this week so she has been staying with him all day.

Also, my little 15 week old(3 1/2 month) weighs 14lbs and measures at 24 inches. When Dr. Perkins asked the student nurse if Addison was on track, she said 'yes on a fast track'. Dr. P looked at me and said usually babies double their weight about 5-6 months and well Addison has already at 3 1/2. We always laugh at her short chunky legs and count the rolls when we change her diaper (there is 3 on each leg by the way).

A few pics...

Well, my baby girl is 2 months old! Oh, my the times go by so fast. She's already had her first set of shots, weighing in at 11 lbs 12 oz. and 23 inches. She's a butterball with a full set of cheeks.

She loves this bouncer! Thanks Aunt Danni and Uncle Jeff

Just a few updates and things I'd like to share...

*She is such a happy baby! And her smile will have you smiling all day long! It's beautiful! At least her momma thinks so.

*She sleeps ALL night! This I am so HAPPY about. We have our last feeding at 8 and down for bed at 9. I wake her up at 6 so I can nurse her before getting myself ready for work. She eats then goes back to sleep until her next feeding at 9:30. This I am thankful for, I know I am blessed!

*She loves the sound of running water. If she is ever upset just take her to the bathroom and turn on the water. She immediately gets quiet.

*She loves to take a bath! So much that she cries when you take her out.

*She likes to go outside, this also calms her down. But she sweats so easy.

*She is so alert and aware of everything going on around her.

*She is her fathers daughter! They both will not like this but she can clear a room with her poots. They are loud, forceful and stinky!

*She LOVES her momma! She is just now allowing others to hold her, this has been a challenge for both of us.

Here are a few pictures from the past few weeks....

Bath Time

She loves looking at herself in the mirror.

Pops and his two girls the night before he left for Minneapolis. We miss you already!

We LOVE You, Pops!

My first week back to work!

Well this past week was tough… Let’s just start with Monday. I was supposed to start back at Briarfield after taking two weeks off to stay home with Addison. Instead I was at the court house serving on the Grand Jury. Yes, it’s my luck my name was drawn from the box. Luckily we did what we had to do and were out of there by 1 and we do not have to go back for a few months. I had Addison’s 2 month appointment scheduled for her shots. My idea was to do them while I was still at home and Chris too (so he could be the ‘bad’ guy). Well, we get there, she’s already had her Tylenol in preparation and as Angie is doing the paperwork, Shenita realizes Addison is not 2 months old until the next day so no shots on Monday.

Tuesday…my first official day back at work and the Lord blessed me in that Chris did not have to work so I was able to leave the house knowing not only that my baby is in good hands but she is with someone she knows and knows her routine. That was comforting. I did fine throughout the morning but about one o’clock oh my, I was ready to go home. The eyes were beginning to water. But I survived, Thank you Father. When I got home Addison and Chris were waiting at the door for me (and to go back to the doctor). We were off to get her shots and somehow I ended up being the one to hold her down during this traumatic experience (for me!) I thought that was why I wanted Chris there, but I just could not walk away. She looked me straight in my eyes as I was holding her down and the nurse gave her 3 shots!!! It hurt me and her both. She screamed a scream I had never heard before!! But then after getting her calmed down she was fine except that when we got her home she would not let me put her down so she napped in my arms. That was okay with me. :)

Wednesday…Well I had been praying all week for this day and the good Lord answered my prayers. I woke up with such peace it was amazing. We got ready and out the door we went, to Mrs. Vicki’s. I just have to say that God answered my prayers in that He has placed Vicki in our life. She is a wonderful, trustworthy, Christian lady. Addison welcomed her in such a way I was just at peace. I left her feeling very comfortable in my spirit and mind realizing that she was probably going to be more spoiled by Vicki than myself. I checked in on her once that morning and things were going great. Until I got a call at school that Kaylyn, Vicki’s oldest daughter was on her way home with strep throat. Great! I thought! So I called Stephanie, and she was more than willing to help out. So, Stephanie kept Addison that afternoon and Thursday.

Friday…This was a tough one. We got home late from Tyler’s ballgame, which got us off our bedtime schedule. Needless to say we did not go to sleep until 11:45 instead of 9:00. Momma was tired! Addison was going to Nana’s today. This is something I am excited about. My mom does not work on Fridays and she already has Audree (Addison’s 1yr. old cousin) on Friday. So she will be keeping them both and yes I was very nervous. I kept telling mom a 1 yr old and a 2 month old was a lot of work but she insisted. You see Audree LOVES her Nana and was not too excited when her Nana would hold Addison. But she’s come around. I called mom throughout the day checking in and things went great. They had very few meltdowns.

So I guess I could say that the week was not to bad, just long. I was definitely ready for the weekend, which was a 3 day weekend. YEAH! And everyone tells me it gets better and easier. I hope so, I sure hate leaving my baby. 7 hours is a long time, even if she gonna be sleeping most of the time.

I do want to say THANK YOU to those of you that prayed for me last week. Your prayers got me through the week. Thanks!!!

3 Weeks Already!!!

I can not believe it but it has already been 3 weeks since this beautiful baby girl joined us in this world. I am amazed everyday at this wonderful miracle God has given us. She is absolutely beautiful and wonderfully made. I love it when she smiles at me or even when she just stares at me. I love how she already has her father wrapped around her hand. I love how calm she is when she gets her bath. She loves taking a bath already. I love the time we share when she is feeding. I even love the time we share in the a.m. hours when she just does not want to go back to sleep. That's when her daddy and I fudge a little bit on the 'rules'. We are pretty scheduled and she is doing good with her nights and days, just gets a little confused at times. But hey she is only 3 weeks old. Did I mention how much I love her!!!

The Time Has Finally Arrived!!!

Well, I went to the doctor today and Dr. Pennebaker scheduled me to be induced in the morning. YAY!!! I guess?! I am not really sure if I am excited about that or not. Don't get me wrong I am more than ready to have this baby and am very excited about the next step in our life. But being induced was something I was hoping I did not have to cross. She does not like for her patients to go past 40 weeks and well, I am there. This baby just is not ready and I guess my body is not either. I am still standing at 1cm and not thinning out. But oh well, We are gonna have this baby tomorrow that I have so long waited for. July 1st!!!! So, PLEASE PRAY for me and our baby!

My Awesome God!!!

I know this is not about the baby but it was something I wanted to share. On Sunday June 7th, 10 youth dedicated their lives to Christ at the end of service. And then on June10th, 7 more did at youth group. So on June 14th, Sunday morning Brother Don had the pleasure of baptizing 12 of those teenagers and 2 other men in our church. God is doing so much in our lives right now and in our Church. Sunday morning services have been great and then on Sunday night we gather again to do a study by John Bevere, The Bait of Satan, and its wonderful. Its about Offenses. Really good stuff. And then on Wednesday evening we have 'prayer meeting' with our Prayer leader Ann Brock and 'youth group' with Chris leading it as of now. Anyway, I am so happy to be a part of the move going on in Providence Church with our youth and adults.

So I said all of this to share a picture with yall, this is the group that was baptized last Sunday.

YAY!!!

Well, I got a call this morning from the doctors office asking me if I could come in and redo some bloodwork since the lab 'lost' the last bloodwork from 2 weeks ago. I willingly said sure and asked if they could go ahead and squeeze me in for an appoinment so I did not have to come back Thursday. And they said sure. Well, to the good news...I have dialated!!! Yes only 1 cm but it felt good to hear those words. I am 38 weeks tomorrow and I was ready to hear something. Also, babys heart rate was down to 137, the nurse said he/she could just be sleeping since it usually runs in the 150's. My next appoinment is Wednesday, June 24th (if I make it to then, haha).

Just an update

Well, I don't have much to say except that I am Ready! I think?!? I went to the doctor 2 days ago and everything was good. It was the usual visit...measuring my belly, listen to the heartbeat (153) and questions. I now go weekly, my next appointment is Thursday, June 4th, my birthday. She will start checking me then and of course we'll do the routine blood work and other stuff.
~I have 32 days till due date! (But who's counting.)

Baby Leigh/Lee Boyett

Well, this is the latest image I have of my precious baby. It is unbelievable how much you can love someone that you have not even met. I have this amazing creation of God growing inside of me and all I can do is say, 'Thank You'. I thank Him everyday for giving Chris and I this child of His. I know Chris will be the father my Father expects Him to be. I only pray that I can be the mother He desires me to be. It has always been a dream of mine to be a mom. Thank You, Lord.

I am 31 weeks today, and I had an appointment this afternoon that went great. All is good. My baby's heart rate has been running in the 150's. Today it was 156. (I guess some of yall may be wondering but we chose not to find out what this baby is until he/she blesses us in this world.) I have had a wonderful pregnancy that once again I can only thank my Father for. He has truly watched over me these past 31 weeks. I pray the next 8-9 are just as wonderful. Labor and delivery scare me :) I do not tolerate pain that well, so...Bring on the drugs!
